What are Tortilla Hacks?
Tortilla hacks were made on TikTok, and it’s really just a super convenient way to make a tortilla meal even more portable! First, lay out a tortilla flat. In the middle of the tortilla, along the bottom half, make a cut half way up the tortilla. Put your ingredients into the four quadrants of the tortilla. So bacon in one section, eggs, cheddar and avocado in another.
Now it’s time to wrap. Take the portion of the tortilla that is to the left of the cut you made earlier. Take that section and fold it directly on top of the section above it. So if you laid out your tortilla as bacon in the bottom left, eggs in the top left, cheddar in the top right and avocado in the bottom right, you would be placing bacon over eggs.
Now fold the two sections (hypothetically, bacon and eggs) to the right upper corner of the tortilla. So in our scenario, fold these two sections over your cheddar. After you’ve done that, fold the three sections into the bottom right, so our avocado. So all four sections overlap so you basically get a bite of each flavor all at once. That’s it, fellow kids!
How do you make a Breakfast Wrap?
This meal is super easy to make! Simply prepare your bacon (stovetop, baked or however you make your bacon) and drain. Scramble your eggs and slice up your avocado. Lay everything out in the tortilla hack order listed above and wrap! That’s it, seriously! The perfect filling breakast!
Can you meal prep bacon breakfast tortillas?
Absolutely! These tortilla hacks are perfect for meal prep. Make your tortilla hack ahead of time and wrap in aluminum foil. Place your tortillas in either an airtight plastic bag or a plastic container with an airtight lid and put in the fridge. These wraps will stay fresh for five days.
To heat up your breakfast tortilla, remove the aluminum foil and place on a microwave safe plate. Warm in 30 second increments until hot enough for you and then take on your day with this breakfast to-go!
