What ingredients do you need to make Ranch Grilled Chicken?
- Boneless, skinless chicken breast
- Olive oil
- Ranch Dressing
- Chipotle Sauce- this is my favorite and can usually be found near the deli section at the grocery.
- salt and pepper to taste
How do you make Chipotle Grilled Chicken?
The first step is to mix the marinade. Combine the olive oil, ranch dressing and chipotle sauce together and whisk until combined. Slice the chicken breast width wise to ensure your chicken is evenly cooked and never overcooked.
Add the chicken to the marinade and allow it to sit turning occasionally for at least one hour, up to 24 hours. When you are ready to cook heat your grill to 400 degrees and cook 4-6 minutes on each side, or until a meat thermometer reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees.
Tips for the perfect Grilled Ranch Chicken?
Slice the Chicken Breast correctly! This is key. You simply need to place the chicken breast on the cutting board and by holding your knife horizontally slice through the width of the chicken breast. This results in two thinly sliced pieces of chicken.
How can I use this chipotle grilled chicken?
Anything really! This is especially great for a delicious salad, hearty wrap or even to go with your favorite pasta dish! These are some of my favorite ways to use it:

- Cheesy Chicken and Rice Casserole (instead of shredded chicken)

Of course you can just use this chicken as your main attraction! It is worthy of a dish all it’s own. In that case it pairs perfectly well with these Crispy Zucchini Fries. I love how the parmesan and ranch in the zucchini fries pair with the spicy kick of the chipotle sauce in the chicken.
Another great option is this Cheesy Sweet Corn Chowder. If I were entertaining I think this is the match I would stick with. The Chowder (and perhaps a delicious salad) can easily be made ahead of time so all you have to do is grill the chicken!
