This Easy BBQ Pork Tenderloin has just six basic ingredients! This tenderloin comes out perfectly tender and loaded with flavor every time!
This quick and easy BBQ Pork Tenderloin is one of our go to dinner recipes. It is incredibly versatile and pairs perfectly with so many side dishes. It is wonderful on it’s own, but is also great for BBQ pork sliders, wraps or salads! You can adjust the marinade slightly to switch up the flavor based on your preferences, or dietary needs.
Ingredients for BBQ Pork Tenderloin
As always, you will find the exact recipe and measurements listed below, but this is a quick overview of what you need for this recipe:
- Pork tenderloin: this marinade also works great for pork chops, pork loin, or any other cut.
- BBQ sauce: your favorite brand, for a low carb option look for a sugar free BBQ sauce.
- Orange juice: bottled or freshly squeezed juice.
- Soy sauce
- Garlic: fresh minced garlic adds the best flavor
- Olive oil: this helps to prevent the tenderloin from sticking on the grill.
How do you grill pork tenderloin?
This recipe is so simple. Begin by combining the BBQ sauce, orange juice, soy sauce, minced garlic and olive oil in a small bowl. Whisk the mixture until it is completely smooth.
Place the pork tenderloins in a disposable plastic bag or bowl with a lid and pour the marinade over the tenderloin, reserving about 2 tablespoons for later.
Marinade the pork at least one hour before grilling, up to 24 hours. The longer you marinade the pork the better the flavor will be. Since this marinade does have citrus in it, I just do not recommend going over to 24 hour period to ensure it doesn’t compromise the texture of your meat.
When ready to cook, heat a grill to 400 degrees F. Place the pork tenderloin on the clean grill gates and cook 10 minutes, flip and cook an additional 10 minutes. Check with a meat thermometer and cook in additional 5 minute increments, turning occasionally until the thickest part of the loin reaches 145 degrees F.
Brush with the remaining 2 tablespoons of marinade in the last few minutes of cooking to really seal in the best flavor.
How do you know when a pork tenderloin is done?
Pork is safe to eat when it reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees F. Use a meat thermometer and carefully stick it in the thickest part of the loin. I usually check 2-3 places in the pork loin just to be sure it is completely cooked through.
When you remove it from the grill place on a cutting board and allow it to rest 10 minutes. This allows the juices to absorb back into the meat, instead of immediately cutting and spilling out onto the cutting board.
What should I serve with Pork Tenderloin?
Some of my favorite easy side dishes for a meal like this are these Crispy Zucchini Fries. I also love this Asparagus Salad, or Harvest Kale Salad. Some other ideas include:
