What ingredients do you need for Jalapeno Lime Chicken?
- Lime juice
- Lime zest
- Olive Oil
- Minced Garlic
- Worcestershire sauce
- Green Onions
- Diced jalapeno, seeded
- Spices: Salt, pepper and cumin
Listed above are the ingredients you need to make the delicious jalapeño lime marinade. This recipe marinates 1 1/2 pounds of chicken. I love to use boneless, skinless chicken breast. However, you can also use wings, drumsticks or chicken thighs if you’d prefer.
How do you make Grilled Jalapeno Lime Chicken?
- Begin by making your marinade. Combine the lime juice, zest, olive oil, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and cumin.
- Add the chopped green onions and seeded jalapeño to the marinade and stir well.
- Pour the marinade over the chicken and chill at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours for the best flavor.
- Grill over high heat, approximately 400 degrees for 3-4 minutes on each side or until a meat thermometer reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees.

- Chicken tenderloins: approximately 3-4 minutes on each side at 400 degrees
- Chicken thighs: approximately 6-7 minutes on each side at 400 degrees

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds chicken breast
- Zest from 1 lime
- Juice from 1 lime (about 1/4 cup)
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
- 1 fresh jalapeño, seeded and diced or 2 tablespoons pickled jalapeños
Instructions
- Combine the lime juice, zest, olive oil, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and cumin.
- Add the chopped green onions and seeded jalapeño to the marinade and stir well.
